Waste collecting street campaign in Sarajevo to mark Earth Day

A street campaign "A flower for the packaging - make the world beautiful again" of collecting non-reusable packaging waste, on the occasion of marking the Earth Day, was held today in Sarajevo, organized by the Ekopak Society.
In addition to providing education on the basics of recycling and the proper disposal of packaging waste, citizens who brought five pieces of any kind of packaging and put them in the intended containers received gifts during today’s campaign.
Representative of Ekopak Zoran Rifelj said that the aim of the campaign was raise awareness in citizens about the proper disposal of packaging and packaging waste and added that they talked a lot with the citizens on this topic.
He suggested that citizens should learn how to properly dispose of packaging waste and stressed the importance of continued education.
He believes that citizens' awareness of the proper disposal of waste in Bosnia and Herzegovina is at a satisfactory level, but the results would be even better with the appropriate infrastructure.
