FBiH was visited by 125,728 tourists in August, which is 14.1% more than in August 2016 and 0.1 % less than in July 2017. Domestic tourists take 14 %, and foreign tourists 86 %.
The total number of tourist nights in August 2017 was 289,498, which is 12 percent more than in August 2016 and 7% more than in July 2017.
According to the type of accommodation, the largest number of overnight stays was realized in the category of 'hotels and similar accommodation', 89.8 % .
In the structure of foreign tourist nights, most of the overnight stays were made by tourists from the United Arab Emirates (9.8 percent), Saudi Arabia (9.2 percent), Italy (eight percent) Poland (6.7 percent) and Turkey (6.4 percent) , total of 40.1 percent. Tourists from other countries realized 59.9 percent of the overnight stays.
The number of available beds in August 2017 was 30,332, which is 8.1 percent more than August 2016.
The net utilization rate of beds for 'hotels and similar accommodation' in the Federation of BiH amounted to 35.2 percent, according to the Federal Bureau of Statistics statistics.
