Construction works on the BiH Olympic mountain Bjelašnica are being conducted under planned schedule and under regular supervision of the IPSA Institute Sarajevo, confirmed to FENA the public enterprise ZOI 84.

The new equipment for the ski center has already been transported to Mt Bjelašnica and Babin Dol: including 30 snow cannons, the lift station, and composite parts of the six-seater pillars, stated ZOI 84.

The works are in their final phase. As for the six-seater, all excavation works have been completed, including the basis for the pillars , the starting and the incoming station, and the pillars and foundations have been placed for the four-seater, while the start of the four-seater montage is planned for this week.

The ZOI states that approximately 3,800 meters of pipeline has been installed as part of the water supply for artificial snowing and preparations are being made for the laying of electrical installation conducted by Elektroprivreda BiH.

“This is the largest project launched so far on the Sarajevo Olympic Mountains in the post-war period, worth 16 million KM, and funds were provided by the Government and the Ministry of Economy of the Sarajevo Canton, stated ZOI 84.

Introduction of the six-seater and the four-seater will greatly improve the conditions for all skiing aficionados.

All this will result in the increase in the number of transported skiers per hour. It will significantly reduce the time spent in the starting stations, and enable skiing in the upper zone where the amount of snow is greater.

Another ski track has also been created 250 meters long and 30 meters wide, which will surely be appreciated by skiers who visit Mt Bjelašnica each year.
