"Guide2Sarajevo" is the most comprehensive mobile application / audio guide, intended for citizens, tourists, and all visitors to the Old Town and Sarajevo.

This is a new tourist product and application that, besides visual display, offers an audio guide for more than 60 objects of cultural and historical significance for Sarajevo. This map allows domestic and foreign tourists to independently get to know all the tourist attractions of the Old Town and Sarajevo. In addition, the advantage of this application is that its use, after downloading, is possible in offline mode.

"Guide2Sarajevo" is a project that was jointly prepared and implemented by the Old Town Municipality and the Association "Čuvari tradicije" . The objective of the Association is  development of tourism and preservation of the cultural heritage.  Goal with this project is to enrich the tourist offer of the Old Town  Municipality  which will keep the tourists as long as possible in Sarajevo. We want to  show our rich heritage, culture and tradition better.

Seeking to a modern and contemporary way to display all of our natural and historic beauty, we made the first mobile tourist audio guide, not only in the country but also in the wider region. This is an advanced and world-class quality mobile application that will surely make our tourist offer even more popular in the world.

"Guide2Sarajevo" offers all the necessary information, from cultural-historical data, to important and useful advice and recommendations. With the use of Guide2Sarajevo application, tourists will provide themselves  a quality stay in Sarajevo. "Guide2Sarajevo" is the most comprehensive mobile application for tourists. The main advantage of this application in relation to similar projects, and especially on organized group sightseeing tours, is that "Guide2Sarajevo" enables complete independence during the visit and arbitrary selection of locations that tourists want to see. This means that every application user, with a gift of paper map  of the city, depending on the time available, can start to meet Sarajevo at any time. In accordance with personal interests and affinities, each guest can choose what he wants to see and experience in Sarajevo. The Guide2Sarajevo application is built in the latest Google technology and meets the most modern world standards.

How to use it?

 The use of the application is maximally simplified. To activate it only requires the possession of a smartphone mobile device. The application can be downloaded from the Google and Apple app stores, as well as from the Guide2Sarajevo.com website. After downloading, the application works without the internet connection.

With Guide2Sarajevo application, the user chooses content that interests him and wants to listen. There are more than 3 hours of audio recordings in English available, narated by famous British actor David McAlister, associate and narrator of National Geographic, Discovery and BBC. Audio content in the Bosnian language is being prepared, and it is narated  by a well-known BH TV editor and host, Ognjen Blagojević.

What do we get?

The recordings are divided into units and their lenght is three minutes maximum.

In three minutes of audio recording, the user of the application has at his disposal the most important cultural and historical information on selected sights, which are carefully collected and consolidated from official scientific sources and professional literature. In addition to the basic historical facts, through the audio guide "Guide2Sarajevo" users can also find out  little known and unusual data related to every attraction, such as folk beliefs, legends, etc. These contents tourists and domestic visitors can only get with this application, and are also useful for tourist guides, as well as for anyone who want to get to know Sarajevo better.
