Boračko Lake interethnic camp gathers 250 scouts from BiH, Serbia and Montenegro

The 7th interethnic scouts camp "Perfect World" opened yesterday at the Scout Center "Mostar-Zenica" at Boračko Lake just above Konjic, in which 250 scouts from BiH, Serbia and Montenegro are taking part, including 180 children and 70 adult volunteers.
The camp was opened by a new culture and education attaché at the US Embassy in BiH Holly Zardus.
“I have been in BiH for only seven days and I already love this country. I hope that all the camp participants will be richer for new experiences and new friendships,” said Zardus, who is on her first diplomatic engagement in Europe.
Children and youth from Herceg Novi, Niš, Prijepolje, Bajina Bašta, Vareš, Tešanj, Mostar, Sarajevo, Trebinje, Prijedor and Zenica will be creating new friendships and learn about the beauty of life in nature during the ten-day stay in this camp, which from the very beginning has been supported by the US Embassy in BiH.
“This is the eighth, and final this year’s activity within this camp, during which the volunteers completed about 25,000 hours of various activities, with participation of 1,405 children,” said the President of the Zenica Scouts Association Edin Šarić.
