Music, calligraphy, wood carving and pottery will be the focus of the "Iran Culture Days", which opened at the City Hall in Sarajevo last night and will last for four days.

Ceremony was opened with a concert of traditional Iranian music and an exhibition of calligraphy and Iranian handicrafts.

Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to BiH Mahmud Heidari reminded of centuries long relations between BiH and Iran.

"Deep cultural similarities between people of Iran and BiH created assumptions for cultural, artistic and scientific exchange, but they also enabled foundation for strengthening economic and political relations between the two states," said Heidari.

Cultural Consul at the Iranian Embassy Hossein Nouri also emphasized that this cultural event is result of cooperation between Iran and BiH.

He said he hopes that Iran will also host and promote BiH culture this way.
