Allowed amount of blood alcohol while driving on the territory of BiH is 0.3 percent.
Exceptions to this rule are that no traces of alcohol can be found on professional drivers, driving instructors, driver candidates, as well as drivers under the age of 21 or drivers with less than 3 years of driving experience.
The penalties for those who do not comply with this rule go from 1.000-8.000 KM for legal entities and 100-300 KM for physical persons, and if a driver with an increased blood alcohol level causes a traffic offense, the penalty is 300 to 1.000 KM with the ban on driving the vehicle 1-6 months and two penalty points.
