This year's third international festival and competition of waiters, bartenders, baristas, restaurants and taverns, Grand Gourmet will be held from 7 - 10/11/2017 at the Meteor Hotel in Makarska. Gand Gourmet is an international festival during which there are individual international competitions of waiters, bartenders, barista competitions and catering facilities (restaurants and taverns) and also team competitions of waiters-chefs.
- U okviru ove manifestacije, rezervirano je i posebno vrijeme za srednje škole – njihovu edukaciju i natjecanje. Individualno natjecanje je zamišljeno kao mogućnost prezentacije osobnosti i kvalitete konobara, dok je posebnost timskog natjecanja zajednički rad kuhara koji priprema zadana jela za 4 osobe i konobara koji ista jela poslužuju. Svaki dan festivala će u jutarnjem dijelu je posvećen predavanjima, edukacijama i treninzima, a u poslijepodnevnom dijelu natjecanjima i izložbama.Glavni cilj projekta je promocija, edukacija i usavršavanje ugostiteljskih djelatnika, njihovih znanja i vještina- kazala je Alma Harašić Bremec, voditeljica ovog projekta.
As a part of this event, special time is reserved for high schools - their education and competition. The individual competition is intended as an opportunity to present the personality and quality of the waiter, while the specialty of the team competition is the joint work of the chef who prepares the four dishes and waiters who serve the same dishes. Every day at the festival there will be lectures and trainings in the morning, and competitions and exhibitions in the afternoon. The main goal of the project is to promote, educate and improve catering staff, their knowledge and skills - said Alma Harašić Bremec, head of this project.

All Gastronauts have special conditions at the Meteor Hotel - as members of the ŠKMER, whether they want to join the competition section - present their restaurant with one chef and one waiter and accommodation in the hotel Meteor at a price of 185 kn per person in 1 / 2 for the half-board service, as well as the possibility of participating in the jury.
