Sarajevo Film Festival presents its Open Air Program

 Sarajevo Film Festival which grows each year in the number of films, visitors and authors, this year opens with the world premiere of BiH film “Son”, by Ines Tanović.

“25th Sarajevo Film Festival will show 270 films in 18 different programs from 56 countries from August 16 to August 23,” said SFF Director Mirsad Purivatra at a press conference held at the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the occasion of the announcement of the SFF Open Air Program.

The Open Air Program will show seven films “Pain and Glory” by Pedro Almodovar, “Les Misérables” by Ladj Ly, “Parasite” by Joon Ho Bong, “Stitches” by Miroslav Terzić, “It Must Be Heaven” by Elia Suleiman, “La Belle Époque” by Nicolas Bedos and “Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood” by Quentin Tarantino.

Speaking about the cooperation with the Tourism Board of the Sarajevo Canton, Purivatra pointed out that this cooperation is getting better and more constructive. He emphasized that the new brand Visit Sarajevo is now present throughout the region.

“I am pleased that we have linked these two brands, Heart of Sarajevo and Visit Sarajevo this year,” said Purivatra.

The Tourism Board of the Sarajevo Canton President Nermin Muzur said that they started cooperation with SFF in 2017, and that this year they made a regional promotion of the festival through Visit Sarajevo campaign.

Muzur also announced that a concert by popular DJ Solomun will take place at the end of SFF.

 Online ticket sales will start on August 3 at 12.00 hrs.,via the official website, and individual ticket sales will start on August 9 at 10.00 hrs, at the Box Office, at the Bosnian Culture Center (BKC) Sarajevo.
