VIVA film festival of ecological, religious, tourist and youth documentary film, third edition, opened at the Youth Theater in Sarajevo.

Festival was opened by High Representative to BiH Valentin Inzko, and the opening ceremony was attended by Vice President of the Federation of BiH Milan Dunović.

Inzko said that he fully supports this film festival, which includes people from the entire BiH and among other things it displays natural wealth and beauties of the host country.

Considering the ecology is one of the competition categories, the Festival carries a message that a man cannot act as a factor of disorder in nature anymore, he emphasized.

Art director of the Festival Ratko Orozović, a man behind this festival, stated that film has no boundaries and that this is third edition of the VIVA Festival.

Spokesperson of the OSCE Mission to BiH Željka Šulc stated at the opening that without cooperation and culture there is no security, which is why OSCE supported this festival.

VIVA film festival is international film festival.

This year 109 films have been officially selected from more than 45 countries of the world in categories: ecology, religion, tourism, and 22 youth films.

Screening of films will be organized this year in Sarajevo, Vitez, Jelah, Orašj, Ljubuški, Bihać, Prijedor, Goražde, Mostar, Vareš, Kakanj and Lukavac - Puračić.

Award ceremony and closing ceremony will be held on September 16 at the Youth Theater in Sarajevo.

Intention of the director and the jury of VIVA Fest is to include the winning selection of VIVA Festival in the program of Sarajevo Film Festival.
