By setting new standards regarding the organization of the New Year celebrations, Sarajevo will certainly become the heart of the region with concerts by Zdravko Čolić and Crvena jabuka.

Thus, the celebrations in Sarajevo will take place for three nights – graduates of the Music Academy will hold a concert on December 30, citizens and tourists will welcome the New Year 2018 with a concert by Zdravko Čolić, while the rock band Crvena jabuka will hold a concert on January 1.

Sarajevo Mayor Abdulah Skaka, Sarajevo Canton Prime Minister Elmedin Konaković, President of the Tourist Community Nermin Muzur and one of the greatest stars in the region Zdravko Čolić held a press conference today where they presented the detailed program of the New Year celebrations.

Skaka said that culture must be promoted in Sarajevo and that they have a desire to make improvements year after year, reminding that Dino Merlin held a very successful concert last year which is why they decided to make it a three-day event this year.

Zdravko Čolić reminded that last year’s New Year celebrations with Dino Merlin had great PR success and that Sarajevo never organized pompous New Year celebrations, unlike other regional cities.

“I am thankful you suggested me this year. Sarajevo is my city and regardless of other offers, I belong to this city and gracefully accept your offer,” said Čolić.

Konaković said that he is especially glad that people who come from Sarajevo will perform for the New Year’s celebrations.

“Last year, we had Merlin, this year Čola. This is a confirmation of a cultured Sarajevo because we are the best music stage,” said Konaković.
