Pop-up! Festival opens at Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo (VIDEO)

Pop-up Festival opened at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo last night with an exhibition of works by renowned visual artists from BiH, the region and the European Union.
Assistant at the Academy of Fine Arts Sandro Drinovac said that the festival is organized by students who decided to begin the academic year with this festival.
"Guests of the festival are students and lecturers from Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, England and there are also 24 students, colleagues from other academies from Trebinje, Široki Brijeg, Banja Luka, Cetinje, Split and Rijeka. Fir the first time there is a wider regional gathering," said Drinovac.
This-year's theme of the festival is cultural heritage, because 2018 is being marked as the European Cultural Heritage Year, therefore the EU supported series of activities which focus on promotion of culture.
"We are aware of importance of diversity and that it represents our strength," Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Khaldoun Sinno said, adding that Pop-up Festival shows that cultural, academic exchange between students from BiH and the region is necessary.
